How to Set Any Historian Datastore to all Offline Archive Creation

Issue: There is a requirement to allow offline archive creation for datastores other than the default USER datastore.

Solution: User(s) can set the CreateOfflineArchive to TRUE for a datastore other than the default USER datastore by using the below command line instructions.

Setting using Data Archiver command line option.

  1. Open Command Prompt with elevated privileges or Administrator privileges.

  2. Navigate to ihDataArchiver_x64.exe path (i.e. Install path OR "C:\Program Files\Proficy\Proficy Historian\x64\Server"

  3. Stop the Historian DataArchiver service from Services Control Manager (Services.msc)

  4. Run below command (assuming that user has "DS1" datastore other than "USER" datastore; 1 = true, 0 = false)

ihDataArchiver_x64 OPTION.DS1 ihArchiveCreateOfflineArchive 1

This will set the CreateOfflineArchives to true for DS1 Datastore.

Once this has been completed, restart the Historian DataArchiver service from the Services control manager.
