Cannot Install Config Hub or Proficy Authentication from iFix 2023 ISO

 Problem

The installer shows Failed at the end of the Installation for both applications. This issue can occur if the user enters in a password that ends with a special character.

 Solution

  1. Un-install Configuration Hub first then and Proficy Authentication. Reboot.

  2. Using the GE Historian ISO, Right click the installer file and select Run As Administrator.

  3. Choose to run the Web Clients install from the CD.

  4. When prompted to create the Client Secret for Config Hub and Proficy Authentication, be sure to Not have a special character at the end. Special characters include: ! @ # $ % ^ ) & (

  5. Reboot at the end of the successful Installation.
