Before we get started you will need a few things:
1) The host computer should have internet browser and connection to the internet.

2) A MyKepware account. We recommend creating a site-wide username and password managed by a group rather than an individual. This will reduce issues with rehosting or transferring licenses in the future.

3) You must have Administrator level privileges on the host computer to install KEPServerEX.

4) Authentication Credentials for the KepWare License Utility if you choose this option during installation, once again we recommend Credentials that can be managed by a Group.

 

 

Caution: Microsoft Edge browser has known incompatibility issues with this process; use of an alternate browser is recommended The latest versions of Chrome or Firefox are recommended

STEPS:

  1. Navigate to www.MyKepware.com and login in

  2. Select the current version of KEPServerEX to get the latest patches and functionality and click Download

     

  3. The KepServer installer will automatically be downloaded, select the carat then select “Show in folder”

    1. If you are attempting to install KEPServerEX on an “offline” computer, that is not connected to the internet. You can download this installation file to a USB memory stick. Please see Offline Activation How-to

  4. Right-Click on the downloaded file and Select Run as administrator

  5. The Installer will start

     

  6. Choose your language and select OK

     

  7. The installer run some system checks then will guide you through installation select Next

     

  8. Accept the EULA select Next

     

  9. Select the folder to save the files to. The Default location is always recommended.

     

  10. The next dialog box will will allow you to select the specific features/drivers you want to install. In this example we are selecting Full Installation> and Entire Feature. Select Next.

     

  11. The Next dialog box will show external dependencies, Select Next

     

  12. Select Install

     

  13. The Installer will run for a few minutes.

If you issues in the future with disk space you can remove unused drivers but this will require the original installer file.
